2 Chair Visibility

Our intrepid leader heading out into the fog.

Snow Conditions: Powder all over the Mountain today. 4cm overnight plus yesterdays snow fall gave us 14cm of nice snow over the entire Mountain. While it was heavy snow lower down it sure was welcome after last weeks gravel scraping and rock hopping on the lower 1/2 of the Mountain. With nice new snow the locals were out in force today with a massive line up for the 9am chair opening. It did only take 15min to load the bottom chair. At Turoa it would have been at least 45min on a pow day.

Visibility however was nasty. With 3 chairs in the morning detoriating to 2 chairs at lunch it was foggy as f- - - -. We did head over to Topping Creek to try to get away from that horrid fog but the lift had trouble and had to temporarily close. So back into the fog we went.

Trees and bumps along side the runs provided some respite from folks getting vertigo.

Our group now consists of 7 which I feel is a few two many but we box on homies and I have been spoilt having only two or three in my group for the last several years. Hopefully my skiing will improve outta sight in this new level and the PG will be eating my dust.
