Eiffel Tower

Lunch under the Tower

Well homies I did mention to certain folks that I wasn’t going to visit the Eiffel Tower while I was in Paris. It is however very hard to miss this historic landmark. Marie works very close to the tower so when I joined her for lunch today the obvious place on a lovely afternoon was down by the river underneath the Tower. So yes folks I have seen it. While I didn’t go up I did get a good look and admired the engineering. Humans have a thing about beating mother nature and going big. The same can be said about a few statues I saw today along with some massive greek like pillars on buildings.

Best ever croissant

Marie works as an actuary for an insurance company that employs 8,000 people here in France. An actuary uses statics to analyse data for insurance premiums. For this job you need to be a maths wiz - I think she’s going to love knitting. She has just started on her knitting journey much like Lauren. It’s fab I’m here to help with any mistakes.

Today I once again caught the train and managed not to get lost, visited a famous glass domed shopping street, had nutella crepes for breakfast and the best ever crossant for lunch. And that’s just 1/2 the day. Walked 18,000 steps and decided that Paris needs more public loos. The clan would struggle here with the lack of loos. We Wilcox’s cant go anywhere without one close by.
