High Cloud
Today when I arrived on the hill there was a nice brisk, cold breeze a light dusting of snow and best of all that thick fog/soup from the last 2 days was gone. The good thing about arriving early aka 9am is that you beat the crowds. With only limited runs open at the moment the Mountain can easily get tracked out pretty quickly.
Doors open and cable testing underway
With the cold overnight temps snow making had been cranking out the white stuff. Man made snow does tend to get pushed around and lumpy very quickly as was the case today. The top car park was almost full when I left so all those punters skiing 1 run does create some congestion.
Good news is the doors to the HNE were open and the cable was running with the groomers carving out a couple of runs until 10.30ish. Maybe they will run it tomorrow which will take a lot of pressure of Boneyard.
Grooming until 10.30 to get the runs open off the top of the HNE
