Bluebird Day here Today
Last run of the day down Sallys Alley overlooking Rossland. We have mastered the steep.
The day started off slightly cooler than yesterday at -10C and warmed up to 0C by the end of the day. It definitely felt like spring in the afternoon on the hill. Rossland was melting away this afternoon with water running down the streets. Be ice aware driving around tomorrow morning folks.
I’ve graduated to the Red Chair
The morning started with the customary warm up laps over on Paradise. Some drills and techinque improvement followed with hey yet more laps on Paradise. Then lunch in Paradise lodge before the crowds arrived and you guessed it more skiing after lunch.
Cold overnight temps kept the groomers in a hard and fast condition and in the afternoon things softened up to allow some tree skiing and bumps. These are generally short little bits just enough to improve our confidence and technique in these areas.
After skiing Ian popped into town to look at getting some new skis. They are currently getting bindings put on and will be ready tomorrow. Nothing like new kit to get you moving swifter and faster.
