Day 3

AJ trying to edge

Temp: +1C at the base this morning. Warm temps mean slush + ice in the car park.

Base: 116cm. New Snow 3cm. Rain also fell lower down and snow on the upper Mountain.

Visability: Nasty up top. Over at Topping Creek it was clear in the morning and then it started snowing so the cloud moved in and it was very low light.

I have needed low light lenses every day I have skied this week. Here’s hoping for some sunny skies soon.

Nice view this morning of the Selkirk Mountains in the distance

Snow was mixed all over the Mountain. Nice creamy new snow, set up firm on hard pack, mashed potato and heavy sticky snow. Every where you skied today different conditions presented themselves. Adaptability was the name of the game.

As I write the blog it is snowing (not raining) so hopefully this will provide some fresh tracks everywhere tomorrow.
