No Shopping Allowed

Look at those lovely big fat flakes of snow.

Today was definitely a no shopping day. This term as it’s appilied to skiing means no looking around for the best places to turn, just turn, turn, turn without looking for the best, nicest place to do so. So AJ is not allowed to shop for the prefect place to turn be it in the trees, or on a groomed run. This of course poses some problems for me as I certainly like to traverse the slopes to find that perfect turning spot. Just NIKE it as I say to the homies.

These Blizzards liked the chop & trees.

The snow started falling around 11am today and hasn’t really stopped all day. This has resulted in lovely creamy groomed runs. Tree runs and moguls were soft and a delight to ski. Not a single tree was hit today, although I am still like a snail weaving my way through this terrain. The light was very flat but this didn’t dim the delight of skiing in such conditions.

My car was covered this arvo when I returned to the car park.

I am once again in Tads group, and today we were joined by 2 Aussies. Nice small groups for our last week. Tad is trying to take us off piste as much as he can without wearing us out.

With the snow chucking down as I write the blog we could be looking at a 15cm+ powder day tomorrow. In anticipation of this I have hired some Blizzard all Mountain skis for a couple of days. I really need to work out how to get 2 prs of skis here next time as you really need an all mountain ski to get into those trees.
