Cold Sticky Snow

Too cold for most folks today.

The forecast today was for very cold temps and so it turned out .

-18C as I headed for the hill. It did warm up to -14 when I left to come home, but all in all it was a very cold day.

The snow was hard pack and not so fast because of the cold temps. A cold wax could be needed in these temps.

Once again many layers were required and a face mask. Plenty of breaks to warm up toes and hands were also taken.

The slopes were very quiet today, with hardly a soul on the Grey Chair. We stayed over at Topping where the temps were milder @ -14 and no wind. Reported temps @ the top of Paradise were over -30C with the wind chill. Way too cold for this kiwi.

Tad was absent once again with his fall in the ice preventing him from joining us.
