Skiing in the Rain

An icy, wet start to the day today

Temp: +1 C at the base

Visability: Marginal. Socked in areas like 2 chairs clearing at times to like 200m.

Base: 112cm

Snow conditions varied across the Mountain nice groomed creamy snow up top and lower down heavy porridge. I didn’t think it would rain here in Jan so was a little surprised last night when the warm temps caused the snow to slide off the roof of the house and pile up outside my window and block the stairs.

I am in Christines group. I had Christine last year for a few days and she’s lovely. An amazing skier and great on the technical nuances of trying to improve your turns and get to that goal of being a better skier. Ronnie from last year is also in my group along with a young canadian dude. Day 1 done and 3 to go. My goal for the week is to use a pole plant to get more vertical movement - always something to work on.

A visitor in my locker last night.
