Stolen Church Coffee

Stolen Church Coffee and Gelato

I have found a great little coffee shop in Invermere that sells a decent flat white for all us kiwis. It’s named the Stolen Church Coffee Shop after St Peters Church in Windermere (10min) from Invermere was dismantled from its original position when the railway line closed in the 1880s. It was taken apart to be shifted and was stolen by a this dude who wanted to impress his wife. Anyway they roast their own beans and have a great selection of baked goods. Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf is a particular fav I must say. Daylight saving started here last night so we shifted the clocks forward 1hr. So MT (Mountain Time is now 5hrs behind NZT). The days are certainly getting longer here with a lot of snow around town melting. The ice fishing dudes are still driving onto the lake to their huts so the lake is still frozen solid. They are all driving big utes as well. I am planning a day trip to ski Kimberley Mountain Resort on Tuesday so stay posted to hear how that goes.
