Thinning Out

Look at that thinning snow pack lower down

Warm temps and no new snow mean things are starting to get very patchy and thin lower down on the hill.

Temps +4C upon arrival in the car park and warmed up to +8C during the day. This is NOT good news for the snow pack. These warm temps means lots of shrubs and dirt are showing thru on the lower Mtn. It is late in the season tho so it is to be expected. Skiing today was however on the main pretty decent with no overnight freeze it was in the most part fun, soft and playful snow. The only down side was the really flat light mid afternoon making for some tricky decision’s as to where to ski. My C6’s have performed fab the last 2 days they love these choppy mixed conditions. Last week I was missing my carvers so there you go.

Unfortunately today I broke a golden rule of not wiping the inside lenses of you goggles. Jezz I don’t know how many times I’ve told the kids this but today I just went right ahead and wiped that lenses and sure enough scratched the shit out of them so new goggles were purchased after skiing today. So this is possibly turning out not to be the budget trip it should have been. Ski gear purchased = new boots + bindings, new goggles, + new pants, + new jacket. Hopefully this is the end of the spend athon on gear. With only 4 more ski days left here’s to a great injury free run my homies.
