Expectations Met
Today expectations were met and exceeded all around.
On the Giant at last
Car Park Temp: Once again +4 C and warm. These warm temps mean that around the base things are thin and rocky.
Weather was clear and sunnies skies were had most of the morning.
With so few people on the Mountain today it was ski on to every lift not a queue in sight.
The groomers are out getting the runs open off the High Noon ready and it looked to us Turoa hackers that it could be open by the weekend. This would be amazing given that Clarry’s Track is very marginal currently and uploading/downloading could be a thing in the weekend with high traffic volumes.
Snow conditions on the few runs that are open vary from lovely fluffy machine packed powder, to fast and hard groomers, chopped up thin icy chunks, rocks, and sheet ice off the trails. Man -O- Man it was a pick & mix kinda day.
Even some powder tossed up by AJ
I did however get the 1st Giant runs for the season under my belt or as the PG says popped that cherry. Mr PG departed today heading for Scotland and is away for 4 weeks (prime Ski time) WTF says AJ. I will be heading home for a few days but I’ll be back next week with your daily (AJ ski day ) fix with whats up on the slopes.
