Wow
Woop, Woop was the sound most heard today.
10cm of snow overnight and 14cm in the last 24hrs made HBM the place to be on a snowy Sunday. While the snow wasn’t as light as it has been earlier in the week it sure was fab for this Turoa chick. The visability was pretty nasty and at times it was hard to even see the skis on your feet but you just had to let it rip. After the lift breaking down yesterday around mid day a lot of the terrain hadn’t been skied since yesterday lunch resulting in some fresh lines even at lunch today.
The snow just kept chucking down all day today up on the hill. Town however is a different story with overnight rain turning everything to slush and with the mild temps everything is melting making it look grey and muddy.
Much car clearing for this dude.
I even had the pleasure of riding the lift today with some locals - which doesn’t often happen around here due to the fact that there’s hardly anyone here usually and it’s a three seater which is an odd number. Chairlift gossip has Shames Mountain outside of Terrace on our list to ski sometime in the future. And you can ski on replacement knees - apparently all handy facts for this boomer.
So much snow
